Phoenix poem by Leanne Juliette

You sought to control me;

This free spirit.

She who cannot be caged.

For she flies free;

With fire beneath her wings.

The Phoenix, she rises.

Higher.

Higher.

Higher, she rises.

Her soul knows no depths;

Her wings are expansive;

And her mind, is beyond this world.

She cannot be grounded;

For she is free.

Free to be.

Free to rise.

Free to exist, and fly.
